Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited Organizes Surgical Camps in Poorest Communities by screening 250 and curing 40

Upakar MFI, As many as 250 people have been benefitted from the 'Free Eye Camp, a health campaign recently launched with an objective to make Poorest Communities blindness-free. 

The campaign spearheaded by Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited offered free eye checkup camps to the patients in Rapti-Sonari Rural Municipality ward no. 6, Banke districts. Upakar CEO; Shree Sharada Kumari Khatri shared that the majority of the people visiting the free eye check-up camps were elderly and from poor financial community. 

The Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh Fateh Bal Eye Hospital had provided technical assistance. Surgery of eyes was conducted in around 40 people while all the expenses required for the treatment of the eye patients was borne by the campaign itself.
